CLOTHING DESIGN FOR SMALL TEAMS

From a clothing reference to your next sample.

Develop visual proposals for your own garments. Keep the reference, fabric brief, candidate designs and sampling notes together in one private style.

A practical clothing design workflow

01

Reference image editing

Upload a sketch or garment photo. Describe what to preserve and what to change, then save each generated proposal as a separate version.

02

Up to six garment colorways

Try a list of colors using the same reference for every version. See the total credit quote first, pause after the current color and explicitly continue an interrupted batch.

03

Flat sketches and back-view proposals

Request a clean garment flat sketch or explore a possible back design. Review inferred details with your pattern maker; these images are design proposals.

04

Neckline, sleeve and length edits

Choose a garment part and write a focused change request. Compare the result with your reference to check that other details are preserved.

05

Compare and annotate designs

Compare two to four images with shared zoom. Add arrows, boxes, change notes and manually entered dimensions without changing the original image.

06

Textile repeats and print scale

Upload your own pattern artwork and retain the source file. Preview straight, half-drop or mirrored repeats, adjust tile size and see the print on a simple garment outline.

07

Sampling PDF and image bundle

Select a completed proposal, save your annotations and download a PDF discussion sheet or ZIP with images, pattern artwork and design records.

For independent designers, ecommerce brands and small workshops

Small design studios

Turn a client reference and fabric idea into several visual options before discussing the construction and sample.

Ecommerce teams

Explore an original clothing direction, compare colorways and keep the selected version with its revision notes.

Print designers and small factories

Review your own artwork at different repeat sizes and share the source file, visual proposal and manually entered requirements.

Start with one garment

  1. Create a private style and upload a clothing reference.
  2. Record fabric, colors and the details to preserve; review the generation quote.
  3. Generate, compare and select a version, then add notes and textile previews.
  4. Save the style and download the sampling PDF or ZIP for discussion.

Clothing design questions

Can I upload my own clothing reference?

Yes. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP reference up to 12 MB. Use images you own or have permission to use. A saved style keeps its references and generated versions together.

Can I change only the clothing color?

The colorway task asks the model to preserve garment structure and change the target color. Each color uses the same reference. Review logos, prints and small details in every result before selecting it.

Does a flat sketch replace a sewing pattern?

No. The flat sketch is a visual draft for design discussion. It does not provide graded CAD pattern pieces, verified measurements or production-ready construction.

Does the back view recover the real back of a garment?

No. Hidden details cannot be recovered reliably from one front image. The back view is a new design proposal that needs construction review.

Can I preview my own textile print?

Yes. Upload artwork, compare straight, half-drop and mirror repeats, and adjust tile dimensions, scale and rotation. The outline preview is a visual scale study; it does not repair seams or simulate fabric drape.

What is free and what uses credits?

Comparing images, adding annotations, previewing uploaded patterns and preparing files do not submit an AI generation. AI image tasks use credits; check the current quote in the workspace and the pricing page before generating.

Are my saved styles published?

Styles are private by default and are associated with your account. The workspace is excluded from the public sitemap and uses noindex. Share exported files only with the people you choose.
